Mothercanuckers, Remembering the Vancouver Riot
People were flipping police cars, setting hummers on fire, stealing awesome Coach bags, and punching each other in the mouth. It was a glorious display of misdirected frustration. In the midst of it all, I walked around in amazement how the beautiful city I grew up in, could be torn into pieces in a single night. There was adrenaline pumping through my veins. I felt invincible, and there wasn’t a single drunk douchebag that could’ve stopped me from documenting the riot. That was the night a mighty demonstration of the triumph of the human will was made…only if it wasn’t over a god damn hockey game.
